Dengan ini saya putuskan...

Akhirnya, setelah menunggu yang tak pasti, tanggal 21 Oktober (alias tiga bulan kurang sembilan hari), saya mendapat email dari Chair Commitee alias ketua dewan penguji. Emailnya kayak gini:

Dear Budi,

I have now received examiner reports of your thesis (attached). Both examiners have recommended pass –B1 and A. Well done and congratulations.

Both examiners have recommended some revisions and amendments.  Could you please organize to revise the thesis in consultation with your supervisor?

Wuhuyy!!! Tenyata saudara-saudara, saya dinyatakan lulus! Bukan hanya lulus, melainkan satu examiner nilainya A (alias tidak perlu revisi sama sekali) dan satunya lagi B1 (alias lulus dengan minor revision)!

Saya segera forwardkan email tadi ke istri saya dan ke mantan Prof saya biar pada segera tahu. Tidak lupa juga telpon ke orangtua yang sebenarnya tidak begitu paham kenapa kok saya gak segera dinyatakan lulus.

Abis itu langsung saya pasang headphone di telinga saya, colokin ke iPhone dan setel lagu ‘We are the Champions’ dari Queen yang saya beli seharga $1.9 di Itunes. Volume disetel pol. Begini liriknya:
